From the beginning of recorded history people have always seen 'signs' of something that would be, and has been, interpreted to be something of a biblical view of the world. For centuries people have seen 'trends' that have been basically misinterpreted most of the time. The words that a famous President of the United States of America had said once might have sounded the alarm for most people in the world who consider themselves Christians. The term 'new world order' was bantered about in the middle of and at the closing of the Twentieth Century and people took notice.
The concept of a New World Order began many centuries ago but in recent times has taken on a whole new meaning. The term was misinterpreted from Novus ordo seclorum, the motto on the reverse of the Great Seal of the United States often mistranslated as "New World Order". The one thing that can be said, other than the obvious, is that people will always look to what is happening in the world and combined that with what is in the Holy Bible. Unfortunately there are too many variables that are continually consistent in the holy scriptures, even those that are much older than the writings that make up our current Western religious and biblical teachings.
The New World Order will not happen in the way that some biblical scholars or evangelists have proclaimed. There will not be a current leader in our world that will bring about biblical prophecy in the way we understand it. What might happen will be a complete and total change as to how we interact with our world and with each other. A leader will come out of that who will be able to function in ways that will bring about peace and be able to work with others in bringing peace to other countries and societies.
What is happening in our world today is a precursor to what might happen if we continue on the path we are on. Of course, as always, there will be those that will say that there is nothing we can do to stop what inevitably has to happen. Most Christians will say that it has to happen because that is when the Lord Jesus Christ will return. Those types of scenarios have been written about for centuries, from writers that have sources which are much older than any Christian writing that has ever been currently unearthed.
One thing is evident throughout the history of the planet and all the cultures and societies that live here. The fact that we are more obsessed with what will happen has caused us to take our eyes of what is happening and to be able to prepare for what might happen. Christians say, "Pray." Good idea, but that's not all we should do. There is no 'one answer' that will solve the problems this world has. From what some have seen it is Too Much, Too Soon.
